Product Description
Super DG®90 kaolin is a calcined kaolin featuring ultra-high brightness. With advanced blend control of northern and southern of superior crude in China, DG®90 is engineered and structured for paper application by Super patent delamination facilities, then it has been dehydroxylated by controlled heat treatment for removal of crystalline-bound hydroxyl groups and to improve brightness, and particle size distribution redistributed by classification process. DG®90 kaolin is highly pulverized for better dispersion.
Application information
DG®90 calcined kaolin is designed for use in both paper filling and coating applications. DG®90 works in both woodfree and mechanical papers to improve brightness, opacity, blister resistance and ink receptivity with minimal impact to sheet and print gloss. In paperboard applications, DG®90 can significantly extend TiO2, improve ink receptivity, glueability and help control binder migration. Compared to other calcined kaolin products, DG®90 has exceptional high shear rheology at high solids, which assists in raising coating color solids and reduces energy consumed during drying.
